Cottage

Standing about two hundred yards north from the farmhouse, the Cottage at Ascog is currently in a pretty poor state.

Originally set out as two farm workers’ cottages the roof was taken down many years ago in order to avoid paying rates!

Planning permission to restore this derelict building to one dwelling enjoying stunning open views over the Firth of Clyde has previously been granted.

In time we hope to submit new plans for the site, perhaps using a HebHomes Whitehouse – similar in style to, but much warmer than, the original Scottish Vernacular cottage that would once have stood on this spot.
