Pure Shetland CHUNKY knit wool reared and sheared from the flock at Ascog Farm.
Available in 50g balls – natural grey with a hint of warm fawn from the light coloured Shetlands.
Each ball has approximate length of 55 m/60 yds.
Recommended knitting needle size of 6.5 mm UK3 US 10.5
10 cm/4 ins knit square from 19 rows and 14 stitches.
The colour has resulted from blending the natural white, fawn and grey fleeces and expertly processed by The Natural Fibre Company in Cornwall. This batch gives a predominantly grey colour. The resulting tones will vary each year as they depend on the markings and colours of the Shetland flock that we hold each year. The Moorit ram is still leaving his mark but in the most recent years the ram has been Grey Katmoget. They have not been dyed or bleached.
